Khaman dhokla is a very popular indian food. It’s originally a gujrati dish but now it is preferred as a delicious snack all over the country.It is very soft, fluffy and has a sweet-tangy flavour. It is the easiest recipe to make when guests arrive suddenly. So, here is the recipe for khaman dhokla:
Total time required : 15 mins

Cook time : 6 mins
1 cup gram flour (besan)
½ cup yogurt
½ tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp sugar
¼ tsp red chilli powder
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp fruit salt (ENO, non flavoured)
Salt as required
Water as required
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
¼ cup water
4 slit green chillies
8-10 curry leaves
1 tbsp sugar
1.Take the gram flour in a mixing bowl and add yogurt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, sugar, oil, white salt and water(as required).
2.Then mix these ingredients and make a smooth batter without any lumps.
3.Leave the batter for 5 minutes to ferment.
4.Meanwhile, grease your microwave bowl with some oil.
5.After 5 minutes, add fruit salt to the batter and whisk it quickly. Make sure there are no lumps in your batter.
6.Then microwave it for 6 minutes on high power.
7.Wait until the heat releases and remove the dhokla from the bowl.
1.In a small pan, heat 2tbsp oil.
2.Then add green chillies, mustard seeds, curry leaves, sugar and water.
3.When the mustard seeds starts to sizzle remove it from the pan and pour it over the dhokla.
Finally, garnish with some grated coconut and serve. You can also serve it with date-tamarind chutney.
